Would a “Book of Business” Make a Business?

For a service-based sole proprietor, their “book of business,” or “client list,” may be their sole material asset. This is the case for insurance brokers who operate a service of only arranging for insurance policies for insureds. Without their book of business that contains the client list that the insurance broker built over many years, there is no business.
